Vipers vs Blue Mtns Aligators

7 - 0 Vipers win
after some six weeks of not playing a game and only 1 training night, the team played amazingly. ELENA scored and Tom Dack was so so close as well. Unfortunately Angelika didn't get to see Elena's goal but she hammered the ball straight in. Callam scored 4 goals and Thomas Green was in goals first half and on the field second and he scored 2 goals. Elena was goalie for the second half and i don't think she touched the ball once.
Aidan took the trophy this week because he was just all on the case the entire game but for some reason didn't seem to be able to finish what he had started i.e. plant it in the back of the net. He must have had some 8+ shots at the goal but it just didn't happen for him. The thing that impressed me the most was the way in which he was starting to "read" the game. he was tactically reading the game so that was why he produced so many chances to score but just didn't finish.
Manni was on holidays.
next week is "the dangerous kid" [BM Cougars]. it will be an intersting game

GOALS
Callam: 4
Thomas Green: 2
Elena: 1
Trophy: Aidan

bikely site

bizarrely enough infront was my latest source for mountain biking. damien made a post about bikely a great site to find local rides in your area... or anywhere throughout the world for that matter. rides are created using google maps and once signing up you can construct your own ride using a the map editor functionality. would be great but i can't get it to work in camino shamefully that doesn't seem to work.
the coolest thing [which is always the worst thing as well] is the user generated content. take the "poo run" what an awesome name for a ride. i'm so tempted to ride down to mt riverview just to say i have done the poo run. maybe i should make a day of it and do the chicken run as well.
i am interested in the linden ridge ride.

Vipers 4 - Blaxland Lions 2

another awesome game by the vipers. tom dack in goals first half and he did a great job and manni did the second half but i felt sorry for him. he really didn't see the ball that much because the kids were on the attack most of the game.
callum played is usual amazing game and scored 2 goals. talos scored as well but it was just one of the best goals for and under 5's team player i have ever seen. the angle he had to work with was so acute and he planted it without an issue. aidan also scored. unfortunately thomas green wasn't there but again is shows how well the kids are doing even without a sub.
some pics from the game:

Vipers vs Cougars 4 - 4

what a match. after losing the first time to this team something like 8 nil it just goes to show we have improved out of site. a 4 all draw.
elena was in goals first half and she did an amazing job saving almost everything that was thrown at her. aidan did the second half and as he said, "i saved the ball from the dangerous boy".
it was 3-0 at half time but the kids made an incredible come back and almost took the win.

talos 2
aidan 1
thomas green 1

the parents were going off. i didn't really get to see them in full flight because of my role as coach, but apparently malcom and jamie were working together to seriously get into the game. really proud of the kids and it is amazing to see how much they have improved

what is design? where is design going?

have to admit... little bit over current designers and the "new kids". i question their thought process, in more ways than one, when answering a brief from a client, or is it the final product of a design.

i love their company sites. they say fuck all, consistently. they design stuff because they feel it will fit entirely into the current fashion cauldron
WELL DONE KNOB CHEESE!
every description of their process and reasoning behind their work is quiet outstanding. eg.
"Noise is a media-based initiative that profiles artists (25 and under) and their creative works across the media. This booklet was designed to encourage artists to submit their art in all forms- moving image, fashion, words, industrial design, and everything else."
WTF ... lol... well blow me down and call me shirley... nice! so what did you do and y?

then there is the the other MOB
"At night the body of the building is unlit, so that it recedes, and the display cases hang in the air"
shit yeah... where is the building?

so which one would you rather look at?

imho - either say something ... or say nothing

Vipers vs BM alligators 8 - 0

The team had another convincing victory today with an 8 - 0 clean sweep. today tallas scored 4 - thomas green - 2, adian - 1, callam - 1.
they are really playing well and it think the worst thing is our goalie isn't really getting much of a game each time we rotate them. tom dack played much better in the first half and elena is still a little hesitant but that also plays as a good thing because she holds back and then becomes like a sweeper...
